#93: Be featured in a blog, on TV, or an interview is complete.

On SUnday, I did a 2 hour interview based on my asexuality. I haven;t completely decided how I feel yet about how Ive come to terms and being okay with living my life “alone” but its that much easier every day. Apparently Tuan, the interviewer, had a lot of trouble coming up with people to follow up with so I;m glad I could help him out.

Learn more sign language
I can now sign: food, drink, and I am learning sign language. Quinn gave me my sign name. Its the letter N with 2 wrist turns by your ear, because of my plugs. Makes Sense.

Get a good haircut
I put that one down as in progress because I went to Ali at Empire Beauty School and she did a great job on my hair but the bang is too thin. Once I fix that, it can be an official task complete and I can cross it off. :)

Get glasses I love and keep them for a year
Once these bad boys come in the mail, my only challenge will be holding on to them.

Changes in the list: 4/8/09

I changed my requirements for updating to bi-monthly. I’m not by the comp. as much which I consider a very good thing. I’ve been sick since Monday with a High Fever and Sore Throat which sucked but I’m glad its over with. Spring Break is this week so its more pointless partying and Im going to be taking the GED soon. I know I’ll pass but I’ll probably get a horrible score.  I havent been in school in so long.

I saw I had “Get a Job” up there twice so I changed #83 to fix up my apartment. My natural inclination to having a place will be to be less than neat, and thats not okay.

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Por Qua

I dont ever say much about myself. Anytime anyone prompts me to describe myself Im very sarcastic and self depricating. I undermine my own intelligence and go out of my way to be on the outs with people. It keeps them distant. I have a hard time admitting the tough stuff. To myself and others. I just dont have what I want. And this is my way of trying to acquire it. I hope this project and the goals I would try to fufill within it sets me up for self acceptance, opening up to others, and finally just being honest. even the tough stuff.
